Lent Adult Education Studies at 9:15: "A Simple Path to a deeper Spiritual Life with Becca Stevens"
There are few exercises more rewarding than the cultivation of our souls.
Yet today, as we face more distraction, detours, and flat out change than ever before, we can find the pursuit of the spiritual life more ominous than life-giving. Enter author, priest, and social activist Becca Stevens. Through her work with Thistle Farms, helping abused women find deep meaning and satisfaction, she has assembled a storehouse of practical wisdom and inspired insight.
This course is ideal for all who are seeking a deeper connection with God. Come and be nurtured as we begin the 40 days of Lent together. You will be so glad that you did.
Meditation: Join us for this exciting new offering! Beginning in January, we will be offering walking and sitting meditation led by the Harmony Sangha (community), which is based in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. We begin at 7:00pm on the third Thursday of every month. The first few months, meditation guidance will be offered, no experience necessary! Meditation practice is deeply rooted in many religions, and deepens our connection to life, and the gift of the present moment. "In the present moment, we can be free from regret concerning the past and from fear concerning the future. Happiness isn't possible without freedom. Coming back to the present moment, we are released from our worries, our fears, our regrets, our projects, and our busyness." Thich Nhat Hanh NEW: Outdoor Walking Meditation beginning at 6:00! Enjoy the beautiful grounds as together we make peaceful steps on the earth and in our hearts. All are welcome.

You have found the website for Christ Church, Easton, CT! We are a community of all ages who delight in coming together for worship, discussion, food, and fun! We work to engage ourselves more fully in what it means to be spiritual people, in our time here at church, and most importantly, in the time when we are not in church. We are always looking for connections from what we get on Sunday mornings to the rest of our lives!
Here we find a place for our children to be a part of a community and learn about their spiritual selves. It is a place to connect what we are trying to teach them at home about themselves and how to navigate this great big world. It is a place where young and old share their journey, and reach out to one another.
In all we do, we strive to see God's love for us in each other, and demonstrate that love in what we do in the world. We are a community that cares deeply for one another, and for many other parts of our greater community and abroad!
Here you are welcome as you are! There are no expectations that you have ever been in an Episcopal Church before, or can even say why you are here! That you arrive is answer enough, and we welcome you as we ourselves have been welcomed!
